Traveler 9.0.1.4 hotfix disponibile tramite PMR

Il rilascio di Traveler 9.0.1.4  ha corretto un fastidioso errore di MIME conversion che poteva mandare in crash il server ma purtroppo non è del tutto esente da problemi.

Il supporto IBM però ha realizzato una fix in continuo aggiornamento che può essere richiesta tramite l'apertura di un PMR.

Questi problemi sono presenti nella correzione Windows e Linux

• LO84144 - Appointment instance change may not sync to iOS device in some scenarios set NTS_CALENDAR_DELETEADD_APPLE_APPOINTMENTS=true in Traveler server(s) notes.ini to enable fix.  
• LO84747 - Some Mime Audio/Wav files are not getting synched to the device correctly
• LO84756 - Removing last invitee from meeting os iOS does not remove invitee from server.
• LO84790 - ParseException: Expected ';', got  "xxxx" on malformed mime content type.
• LO84792 - Email on Verse client has zero byte attachment called ./alternative
• LO84845 - Large mime email bodies with extended ascii characters are not readable
• LO84861 - Meeting notices deleted from device are not removed from non-inbox folders

Queste correzioni sono specifiche per la fix Windows

• LO84939 - When first enabling trash sync, device may get error trying to delete an item
• LO84941 - OOO from iOS8 device may fail due to using invalid device ID
• LO84943 - OOO time may show in server time zone instead of user time zone in reply email
• LO84947 - Traveler defrag on Derby runs with errors 
• LO84957 - Accepted state not reflected on invite ios device after been accepted for non-repeat meeting

Nel caso riscontriate uno o piu' di questi problemi non esistate ed aprite una nuova chiamata per ottenere il nuovo setup aggiornato (supporta l'upgrade anche da 9.0.1.3 ).

Queste fix saranno incluse nel prossimo rilascio ed in caso dobbiate installarle IBM ricorda di aggiornare alla prossima release stabile quando disponibile.

Accesso a Domino 9.0.1 per client IMAP tramite LDAP, richiesta HF dopo applicazione di fixpack

Come ho già descritto in passato è possibile settare l'autenticazione di Domino verso un LDAP supportato e farla utilizzare agli utenti tramite browser per poter accedere a iNotes, Applicazioni o Sametime.

In caso sia necessario fare accedere i client tramite client IMAP con le credenziali LDAP è necessario aggiungere alcuni campi all'interno dell LDAP  come da esempio sottostante.

mailfile, mailDomain e MailServer.

Questa configurazione ha funzionato correttamente fino a Domino 9.01 ma con l'installazione di un qualunque FixPack gli utenti riuscivano ad entrare corretamente con le credenziali LDAP solo via web e non via imap.

IBM dopo il debug del problema mi ha fornito quindi una HotFix per Domino 9.01 FP3 su linux 64 che dopo l'installazione e l'attivazione del notes.ini

LDAP_ALLOW_UNMAPPED_ATTRS=1

 ripristina correttamente il funzionamento!

Il supporto ha creato la seguente technote dove viene descritto come APAR LO84195 da valutare quindi in caso di futuri fixpack.

Se avete una configurazione LDAP con IMAP contattate il supporto per la HotFix facendo riferimento all APAR indicato sopra.

Sametime Proxy 9.0.0.1 Cumulative fix - 3rd April 2014

IBM da qualche giorno ha rilasciato una nuova importante hotfix per Sametime Proxy che corregge i seguenti problemi:

- Security update to prevent a potential XSS issue

IBM ricorda che sono  inoltre presenti le seguenti fix dal precedente pacchetto (sono cumulativi)

Ho appena installato la fix e nel mio caso ha risolto un problema di integrazione che avevo in essere con iNotes di Smarcloud.

Assolutamente consigliata l'installazione

Traveler 9.0.0.1 IF1 e out of memory

IBM Traveler 9.0.0.1 come sapete ha portato un po' di funzionalità nuove , ma purtroppo anche qualche problema di out of memory.

Se il server smette di rispondere alle richieste di sincronizzazione ed in console trovate messaggi tipo

la soluzione potrebbe stare nel problema segnalato come 

 - LO77158 - OutOfMemory Java dump because of ThreadLocal data

Dopo l'apertura di un PMR mi è stata fornita una cumulative fix da parte del supporto che oltre al problema precedente corregge i seguenti :

    - LO76871 - IllegalArgumentException: URLDecoder

    - LO76877 - NTS_SENDMAIL_SAVE_OPTIONS=user not honored by Traveler  

    - LO76944 - Traveler issue with multiple IPs on the same machine

    - LO76965 - BB 10 attachment file names are corrupted in Notes

    - LO77041 - send Updated notice as plain text

    - LO77066 - Duplicate reply notices sent (1 just plain mail)

    - LO77101 - Memory leak on Notes Traveler, users not able to sync

    - LO77160 - WP: Notes folder with no name causes sync to stop

    - LO77174 - BB: 01/01/1970 bday/annv lost when edited on device

Fortunatamente IBM segue molto attentamente e velocemente i problemi di Traveler.

A questo punto , attendo una 9.0.0.1IF2 a breve

Traveler 9.0.0.1 HotFix disponibile

In questi giorni ho avuto un problema con un Traveler 9.0.0.1 su linux, dopo l'apertura di un PMR mi hanno girato una HF che contiene le seguenti correzioni:

    - LO76180 - Non-Image mime embedded attachments not readable on devices

    - LO76400 - Pending messages requiring streamed content holding up other messages 

    - LO76458 - Trying to recycle String value

    - LO76474 - CHANGE DEFAULT TO NOT ENFORCE ACL ON CORPORATE LOOKUP

    - LO76476 - Traveler must honor Server_Restricted on primary mail

    - LO76487 - derby.index-stat-thread uses excessive CPU

    - LO76547 - Fix synching loop on accepting invitation on delete errors

    - LO76550 - BB10 devices request MIME but need more control over attachment

    - LO76603 - Workaround for BlackBerry having two copies of mails in Sent

in caso abbiate qualcuno dei problemi sopra citati , contattate il supporto per la hotfix. 

Ancora una volta IBM si dimostra velocissima e molto attenta nel supporto a Traveler che a mio parere dispone del miglior supporto dei prodotti Domino/Collaboration.

Queste correzioni saranno incluse in uno dei prossimi rilasci Traveler e IBM raccomanda:

    This is an informal Hot Fix to be used to verify problem resolution and to be

    used as a temporary solution to any high priority problems as deemed by the customer. 

    By installing this Hot Fix, customer agrees to install the IBM formal fix, usually a Fix Pack,

    once it is available that will supersede this Hot Fix.

Notes 9.0 rilasciata hotfix sicurezza

IBM ha pubblicato una KB riguardante un possibile buco di sicurezza su javascript e applet java che possono essere incorporati in mail HTML per eseguire codice remoto ed ha pubblicato una hotfix al riguardo, una per il client 9.0 ed una per il client 8.5.3 FP4 .


In particolare gli SRP fixati sono 3

A circa un mese e mezzo questa è la prima fix che viene rilasciata per il nuovo client 9.0 che continua a dimostrarsi stabile e privo di bug funzionali.
